WELCOME TO THE MILLSTONE COUNTRY INN
HATHERSAGE, DERBYSHIRE
Offering the warmest of welcomes, along with excellent food & drink. plus comfortable bed & breakfast accommodation in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
The Millstone is located on the edge of the pretty village of Hathersage looking up the Hope Valley, in the glorious Peaks. This old coaching inn has been welcoming visitors for centuries, & makes an ideal base for exploring the many different attractions the Peak District has to offer. With Chatsworth House, the Derwent Valley & Kinder Scout only a few minutes away, it’s hard to believe that the centre of Sheffield is just a 15 minute drive away over the moor.
We’re perfect for walking & cycling breaks, or just a cosy & peaceful getaway in glorious countryside. We’re dog friendly as well!

We welcome plenty of dogs to the Millstone, but last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Elandra the cat!
She stopped off for a quick drink on the patio with her owner, during a tour of the Peak District
Obviously an adventurous mog. She had been busy hunting trig points, discovering the superfortress wreckage at Bleaklow, climbing Kinder & ’lapping’ up magnificent views
See you next time! 🐈

⭐️ MEET THE MANAGER
We’re thrilled to welcome Jason Hodgson to The Millstone Country Inn!
Born and raised in Derbyshire, Jason brings over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to the role. He has managed a wide range of properties throughout the UK, but his heart lies in the Peaks, so is both thrilled and excited to have the opportunity of realising the undoubted potential here at The Millstone. His focus has always been on the guest, so a warm welcome, great food, great accommodation and top drawer service are his priorities.
In his spare time, he likes to shoot, mountain bike, enjoys the countryside and is a dog lover. He has even gained a degree in Dog Psychology – perfect for providing a great welcome to our four legged friends!
The doors of The Millstone are open to all. From cyclists, to ramblers, business travellers to locals. Why not pop in & say hello next time you’re passing…
